Water Taxi & Scenic Cruises

 

OVERVIEW

Our 22-person launch "True Blue" is often used by larger groups, such as families, schools and other special interest groups for scenic cruises, and also to transport people and equipment between points on Lake Cootharaba, Lake Cooroibah and the Noosa River, including the Noosa Everglades.  We can travel upstream as far as Camp Site 3, and downstream to Tewantin and the bar at Noosa Heads.

We are always happy to tailor a sight-seeing cruise or water taxi service specifically to suit your requirements.

WATER TAXI TO NOOSA EVERGLADES (KINABA)

We operate a pre-scheduled water taxi service between Boreen Point and Kinaba, as follows.  The trip is popular with those wanting to get to the Upper Noosa River and Kin Kin Creek, for a quick start to a canoeing or kayaking trip in the Noosa Everglades, and/or to camp in any of the 17 riverside camping areas on the river.

• Depart Boreen Point 9:30am - arrive Kinaba 9:50am
• Depart Kinaba 10:20am - arrive Boreen Point 10:40am

Prices are A$15 per person each way, A$30 return.  We may also charge for gear to be carried, depending on size.  Times are approximate and may vary slightly, and a trip may be cancelled due to weather or other reasons, but this is very rare.  You will need to book with us in advance and you can view our water taxi schedule here.

We also provide a customised water taxi service, with flexible departure and return times.  Please contact us for pricing details.

Exclusive private charter of "True Blue" is primarily based on time.  You should discuss your specific requirements with us, but indicative current rates are as follows:

• First hour: A$160
• Additional hours:A$100 - $120

For Scenic Cruises

A 2-hour cruise from Boreen Point, across Lake Cootharaba and into the Noosa Everglades would cost approximately A$280.  With a carrying capacity of 21 passengers, the total cost equates to as low as A$14 per person.

A more extensive half-day tour of the lakes and rivers would cost approximately A$460.  For a group of 12 people, this averages at under A$39 per person.

• Transfer canoes and kayaks - we can carry up to 8 or more in one trip
• Transfer camping gear, food supplies and other equipment into the National Park, to save or supplement on 4WD vehicular access
• Rescue services - to return people and equipment quickly and safely, such as in the event of unexpected weather
